Crop Hail Insurance
Farmers face a number of challenges with weather being one of the most notable. These policies can be tailored to meet each farmer’s needs in terms of crop, coverage and deductible. Coverage is provided for most types of crops and provides for hail and fire damage (some restrictions may apply). There are two coverage options:
Full Coverage- This covers your crop for the stated value and pays losses at the ascertained damage.
Deductible- Under this policy your crops are covered for a stated value and pay the ascertained damage less the deductible.
Deductibles are a percentage basis unlike other types of insurance which are a specific dollar amount. These policies have lower premiums and offer greater protection for your premium dollar.
