In May of 2022, SGI began testing eInspections at certain SGI-certified inspection stations to try and streamline the inspection process. SGI deemed the test a success and, on July 4th, 2022, began rolling out the eInpections to all SGI-certified inspection stations across the province, aiming to be done by the end of September 2022. SGI has stated that the inspections stations will now be responsible for entering the information into the system. However, bringing the inspection form when registering a vehicle after getting it inspected would still be a good idea.
