The Saskatchewan Government has authorized SGI to send out rebates again this year due to the recent increase in fuel prices. The rebates are $100/vehicle registered on or before March 9th, 2022. This applies to cars, trucks, vans, SUVs, Power Units, motorcycles, regardless of the plate class. Unfortunately, the rebate does not apply to trailers and snowmobiles. SGI has not given an exact date when they expect to send out the rebate cheques, but they have said to expect them sometime in late spring. Scammers have taken advantage of this situation and are sending texts to people claiming to either be SGI or a representative from SGI, saying that to get the rebate, you must click on a link and enter the information on the page that comes up. DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK as SGI will not text you. They will send you either a letter or an email if you have provided SGI with an email address.
